Thishas been bugging me lately, I know how auto saving/one save file work in games like this, normally it isn't a big deal because I can just make sure I'm paused in game to make sure I don't accidentally turn off while saving (watchdogs 2, far cry games, etc. were fine with this). Figured Origins would be the same but it definitely isn't.
Ifyou installed on drive C:\Program Files the game probably doesn't have write permissions to save the file. Either try running as Administrator or installing to a different drive. Thismay seem kinda odd. I used to get these crashes on another game. I suggest putting the game in windowed mode then turning down the resolution to 800x600 see if it works. Just to get passed the cutscene. Then you can turn your resolution back to whatever you had it at. #2.
